DIPLOMA IN HOLISTIC MASSAGE

Entry Requirements for an ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage

Candidates must hold an ITEC Anatomy and Physiology Diploma (can be taken concurrently with this unit) or the ITEC Diploma in Body Treatments or equivalent.

Unit 22 Professional Conduct and Business Awareness is also mandatory (can be taken concurrently with this unit).

The Diploma in Holistic Massage Course covers the following

• The Holistic approach
• History and Development of Swedish massage
• Legislation applicable to massage treatment
• Methods of consultation
• Common ailments and contra indications to massage
• Client care
• Hygiene procedures
• The classical massage movements and their physiological and psychological effects
• Referral procedures
• Home care advice

Format for the Holistic Massage Diploma Course

One evening (3 hrs) per week for 17 weeks
